🌍 About the United Nations Young Leaders Training Program

The United Nations Young Leaders Training Program offers a unique opportunity for young individuals worldwide to gain first-hand experience with the workings of the UN. Designed to develop future global leaders, the program combines academic learning, leadership development, and international collaboration.

With over 1.8 billion youth globally, this generation is key to driving innovation, social change, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This program equips participants with the tools and knowledge to be impactful changemakers.


Eligibility Criteria

Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome, including:

  • University and high school students

  • Aspiring young leaders

  • Junior professionals in the public or private sectors

  • Senior officials with a youthful mindset

🔸 Only 30 participants will be selected to maintain a high-quality learning experience. Slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.


🎓 Program Benefits

The program includes a 4-week online course hosted on UNITAR’s platform. It is divided into four engaging modules, requiring about 4–6 hours/week:

  1. The United Nations

  2. Conference Diplomacy

  3. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

  4. Cosmopolitan Communication
