Aim and Benefits of the Federal Government Scholarship Awards

The scholarship is tenable in Nigeria and offers financial support as follows:

  • Undergraduate Scholars: ₦250,000 per annum
  • Postgraduate Scholars: ₦300,000 per annum
  • HND Scholars: ₦150,000 per annum
  • NCE Scholars: ₦150,000 per annum

Eligibility Requirements for the Federal Government Scholarship Awards

For Postgraduate Studies:

  • Applicants must possess a minimum of a first degree with Second Class Honors in the Upper Division.
  • Must be registered full-time students of Federal or State Universities.

For Undergraduate Studies:

  • Must be registered full-time students in their second year or above in Federal or State Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, or Colleges of Education.
  • Must have a minimum CGPA of 4.0 on a 5.0 scale or 5.0 on a 7.0 scale (or its equivalent).
  • Persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

For HND and NCE Studies:

  • Must be registered full-time students in Federal or State Polytechnics, Monotechnics, or Colleges of Education.
  • Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
