Trent University is offering various scholarship opportunities for international undergraduate students beginning their studies in Winter, Summer, or Fall 2025. These scholarships aim to support students with strong academic performance, leadership potential, community service involvement, and financial need.

Available Scholarships:

  1. Trent International Global Citizen Scholarships and Awards: Covers tuition and fees up to $34,000 per year, renewable for up to 4 years (total $136,000).
  2. Trent International Program Tuition Levy Scholarship: Renewable scholarship covering up to $34,000 per year.
  3. IB Student Global Citizen Awards: Provides up to $34,000 per year for tuition and fees, renewable for up to 4 years.
  4. Trent-ESL: English for University Student Scholarship: Renewable scholarship covering tuition and fees up to $34,000 per year (ESL course fees are not included).
  5. Moore Family International Scholarship: Provides $12,000 per year, renewable for up to 4 years (total $48,000).
  6. Justin Chiu International Scholarships: Awards range from $3,000 to $15,000 per year, renewable up to $60,000 over 4 years.
  7. Trent-United World Colleges (UWC) Scholarships: Covers tuition and fees up to $34,000 per year, renewable for 4 years.
  8. Maple Leaf Leadership Award: One-time award of $2,000, awarded to a maximum of 5 students annually.
  9. Daniel Powell Scholarship: Renewable scholarship for Latin American students majoring in International Development Studies, based on academic performance and financial need.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be an international student paying international fees.
  • Studying in Canada on a study permit.
  • Applied to an undergraduate program at Trent University (Master’s/PhD students are not eligible).
  • Must meet Trent University’s admission and English language proficiency requirements.
  • High school average of at least 80%.
  • Must submit a complete application through the myTrent portal.

How to Apply:

  1. Apply for admission to Trent University at least 15 days before the scholarship deadline.
  2. Activate your myTrent portal using the student number provided in the application acknowledgment.
  3. Complete the “International Undergraduate Scholarships & Awards Application (2025)” form and submit it via the portal.
