The University of Miami’s Stamps Scholarship is a prestigious, fully funded award designed for exceptional high school seniors seeking undergraduate education. This scholarship covers the complete cost of attendance for four years, including tuition and fees, on-campus housing, a meal plan, university health insurance, textbooks, and a laptop allowance. Additionally, scholars receive a $12,000 enrichment fund applicable toward study abroad programs, undergraduate research, unpaid internships, and other educational pursuits.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Apply for admission to an undergraduate program at the University of Miami.
  • Meet the specific requirements of the chosen program.
  • Demonstrate exceptional academic ability.

Maintaining the Scholarship:

  • Enroll full-time, completing at least 12 credit hours each during the fall and spring semesters, totaling a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year.
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, with the initial evaluation at the end of the second semester.
  • The award is subject to revision if additional grants, scholarships, or prepaid tuition/housing aid not anticipated at the time of the award are received.

Application Process:

  1. Complete and submit the Common Application online, ensuring all required documents are included.
  2. Submit standardized test scores (ACT/SAT) and, if applicable, English proficiency test scores (TOEFL/IELTS).
  3. Provide a letter of recommendation and official academic transcripts.
  4. Submit financial aid documents, such as income statements and tax returns.

Early Decision I and Early Action applicants are automatically considered for the Stamps Scholarship if they apply for early admission by November 1. Semi-finalists will participate in a Zoom interview with the Stamps Scholarship Selection Committee in January. Finalists are notified of their status at the time of admission in late January and may be invited for further interviews by the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation.
