🏫 About the University of Ghana DAAD Scholarship

The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) collaborates with WACCI to provide up to 3 In-Country and 6 In-Region scholarships for Master’s studies in Seed Science and Technology.

✅ Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the University of Ghana DAAD Scholarship 2026, applicants must:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Upper Division or equivalent.

• Demonstrate motivation and academic commitment.

• Have good knowledge of the language of instruction.

• Have completed their last degree within the past 6 years.

• Be a national or permanent resident of a Sub-Saharan African country.

• Be one of the following:

  • A university staff member,

  • A candidate for academic recruitment,

  • A public sector employee, or

  • An Alumni of the DAFI Programme.

Note: Candidates who already hold a DAAD Master’s scholarship are not eligible for another DAAD-funded Master’s program.

Successful applicants will receive:

• Full tuition coverage (annually)

• Study & research allowance: €460 annually

• Printing allowance: one-time payment at the end of the program

• Monthly stipend:

  • €500 (In-Country Master’s)

  • €550 (In-Region Master’s)

• Travel allowance: twice (start & end of scholarship)

• Health insurance (for In-Region scholars)

Additionally, DAAD scholarship holders may apply for a 3–6 month research stay in Germany.
