The National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) Summer Research Program 2025 offers international students a unique opportunity to engage in hands-on research at one of Taiwan’s leading institutions. Participants will collaborate with esteemed faculty members, utilize advanced laboratory facilities, and connect with peers worldwide. Beyond academic enrichment, the program provides an immersive experience in Taiwan’s rich cultural and technological landscape.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Tuition Waiver: Selected participants are exempt from tuition fees.
- Travel Subsidy: Eligible students may receive reimbursement for airline tickets up to 15,000 NTD, processed after arrival.
- Accommodation: Complimentary housing is provided in university residence halls. Note that daily living and personal expenses are not covered.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Academic Standing: Applicants should be current university students who have completed at least two years of study, including:
- Undergraduates in their 3rd or 4th year.
- Graduate (Master’s) students.
- Institutional Recognition: Enrollment at a university listed in the Reference List approved by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education is required.
- Faculty Collaboration: Prior to applying, candidates must contact an NTHU faculty member to discuss potential research topics.
- Internship Requirement (if applicable): Students needing overseas research experience for their degree must provide official documentation from their home institution.
- Passport Validity: A valid passport is necessary at the time of application.

- Secure a Faculty Advisor: Initiate contact with potential NTHU professors to discuss research interests.
- Prepare Application Materials: Compile all required documents into a single PDF file (maximum size: 3 MB).
- Submit Application: Complete the online application form and upload the PDF by February 28, 2025, 12:00 PM (Taiwan Standard Time).
- Await Results: Notifications will be sent in late March 2025. Selected candidates must confirm their participation upon acceptance.
