The Iowa State University Master’s Scholarship is an assistantship opportunity under the supervision of Dr. Brian Hornbuckle, aimed at international applicants interested in pursuing a Master of Science degree in agricultural meteorology or environmental science. The program is set to commence in May/June 2025.

Scholarship Benefits:

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants should:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a physical or life science or engineering discipline (e.g., meteorology, physics, biology, agronomy, environmental science, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering).
  • Possess strong quantitative skills and proficiency in English communication.
  • Have programming experience in any language.
  • Be motivated to contribute to a sustainable future.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fieldwork each summer at a nearby experimental site.
  • Mentor undergraduate students.
  • Participate in a one-semester teaching experience in an introductory agronomy or meteorology class.
