The Indonesian Government’s Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship

The Indonesian Government’s Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship is a fully funded program designed to support students from developing countries who wish to pursue undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degrees at Indonesian universities. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, living stipends, visa fees, medical insurance, and round-trip international airfare.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Undergraduate Program:

  • Maximum age: 25 years
  • High school diploma
  • English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.0, or TOEIC 700
  • Recommendation letters from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General, employer or immediate supervisor, and previous schools
  • Proof of citizenship

• Master’s Program:

  • Maximum age: 35 years
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.0, or TOEIC 700
  • Recommendation letters from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General, employer or immediate supervisor, and previous schools
  • Proof of citizenship

• Doctoral Program:

  • Maximum age: 40 years
  • Master’s degree
  • Recommendation letter from a potential research supervisor
  • Statement of purpose and dissertation proposal
  • English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 90 or IELTS 7.0
  • Recommendation letters from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General, employer or immediate supervisor, and previous universities
  • Proof of citizenship

Scholarship Duration:

• Indonesian Language and Preparatory Program: Up to 12 months
• Bachelor’s Program: Up to 48 months (8 semesters)
• Master’s Program: Up to 24 months (4 semesters)
• Doctoral Program: Up to 36 months
