The Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) Scholarship offers fully funded Master’s and PhD opportunities for international students to study at top institutions in China — the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), and various CAS institutes across China.

This fully funded scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, health insurance, travel allowance, and a monthly stipend of up to ¥7,000.

🧠 About the 2026 ANSO Scholarship

Launched in 2019, the CAS-ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents aims to develop future global scientists and researchers through advanced education and international collaboration.

Each year, the program supports up to 200 Master’s students and 300 PhD students to study at USTC, UCAS, or any CAS institute in China.

The scholarship seeks to strengthen scientific cooperation, improve global research capacity, and promote technological innovation across Belt and Road regions.


✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the 2026 ANSO Scholarship in China, applicants must:

  • Not hold Chinese citizenship.

  • Be proficient in English or Chinese.

  • Meet the age requirements:

    • Born on or after January 1, 1995 (Master’s applicants).

    • Born on or after January 1, 1990 (PhD applicants).

  • Meet the admission requirements of USTC or UCAS.

  • Not hold another scholarship or academic appointment in China.

  • Not apply to both USTC and UCAS simultaneously (doing so will lead to disqualification).

    • ¥3,000/month for Master’s students (up to 36 months)

    • ¥6,000–¥7,000/month for PhD students (up to 48 months)
