Program Overview

The AfricaCDC Biomanufacturing Fellowship is a two-year program offering participants valuable hands-on experience and specialized theoretical training in biomanufacturing and R&D. Fellows will gain expertise in a chosen specialization area while developing leadership and management skills critical for the biomanufacturing sector.

Participants remain employed with their companies and will travel periodically for short-term trainings.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be citizens of an African Union Member State.

  • Work for a biomanufacturing company in an AU Member State.

  • Possess a valid passport.

  • Be able to commit time for both virtual and in-person sessions.

  • Obtain a letter of support from their current employer.

  • Have a minimum of a Master’s degree in one of the following or related fields:

    • Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

    • Biotechnology

    • Chemistry and Biochemistry

    • Biochemical Engineering
