The Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI) Foundation is currently accepting applications for its 2025 scholarship programs, aimed at supporting indigent Nigerian students pursuing higher education. These scholarships provide annual financial assistance throughout the duration of the recipient’s chosen program at any accredited Nigerian university.

Available Scholarships: The OCI Foundation offers several scholarship opportunities, including:

  1. Cyfed Undergraduate Scholarships (CUS): For undergraduates from Anambra East Local Government Area.
  2. Cyfed-Bradley Hope (CBH) Undergraduate Scholarship: For undergraduates from the entire Anambra State.
  3. Annual JAMB Awards: For post-secondary students preparing to take university entrance exams.
  4. IFOMSSA Senior and Junior Awards: For final-year students in senior and junior secondary schools, respectively.
  5. Literary Award for Medical Students (LAMS): Encourages literary skills among medical undergraduates in Nigeria.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • First-Time Applicants:

    • Valid government-issued ID or birth certificate (for those under 18).
    • Official letter from the Head of Department detailing personal and academic information.
    • Certified copies of JAMB/UME result, Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE or NECO), and valid student ID.
    • Letter of recognition from the traditional ruler of the applicant’s town in Anambra State.
    • A 500-word essay titled “My Family.”
  • Renewing Applicants:

    • Official letter from the Head of Department stating academic progress and CGPA.
    • Official statement of results for completed years.
    • Letter detailing any changes in academic status or personal circumstances.

Application Process: Interested candidates should prepare the required documents and submit their applications through the OCI Foundation’s official scholarship portal. The application period is open from February 22, 2025, to April 26, 2025.
