About the MINDS Scholarship

Launched in 2017, the MINDS Scholarship for Leadership Development aims to nurture African leaders with a pan-African development vision. The program supports talented young people to pursue postgraduate studies at top universities within Africa but outside their home country, encouraging cross-border collaboration and integration.

βœ… Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a national of an African country and reside within Africa

  • Be accepted into a MINDS-preferred institution outside their country of citizenship/residence

  • Have scored at least 70% in each subject over the past two years of study

  • Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to Africa’s development

  • Submit a complete online application with all supporting documents

All documents must be in PDF format and under 2MB:

  • Passport bio-data page

  • Certified transcripts/results from the last 2 academic years

  • Official university acceptance letter (with course name, year, and duration)

  • Proof of visa/study permit application (optional)

  • Detailed CV/Resume (max. 4 pages)

  • Two reference letters (max. 3 pages each)
