Job Description Summary :
This role is integral to the 2024 Medical Fellowship Program, with the cohort commencing on July 15, 2024, although this date may be subject to alteration.
As a Medical Fellow, you will be involved in intimate collaboration with the Clinical and Account Services teams. Your responsibilities will encompass gaining insights into project scopes and expectations, creating educational materials that align with clients’ strategic goals and are suitable for the target demographic, which could include healthcare professionals, patients, or internal pharmaceutical staff. You will leverage your expertise from your advanced degree program to ensure these materials comply with both client needs and relevant legal and regulatory standards. Additionally, you will assist senior members of the Clinical department and work alongside colleagues across various departments to execute interdisciplinary initiatives.
Your advanced scientific training will enable you to conduct thorough research, interpret intricate information, and articulate complex topics concerning diseases and medicinal products effectively. It is crucial that you become well-versed with the brand, science, and strategic considerations associated with the products you will handle. The successful candidate should exhibit excellent prioritization abilities, adept time management, and robust relationship management skills. They should also possess acute attention to detail in editing, referencing, and annotating, along with the capacity to rapidly process information to ensure its precise translation and delivery to the intended recipients.
Job Description :
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilizes advanced education to demonstrate a robust understanding of assigned therapeutic areas and brands
- Independently evaluates scientific literature critically using extensive scientific education, ensuring appropriate referencing
- Produces clinically accurate, high-quality content and error-free educational content (including but not limited to PowerPoint decks, interactive PDFs, video scripts, eLearning content, etc.) for healthcare providers, patients, or internal pharmaceutical teams, highlighting their advanced understanding of scientific concepts
- Uses knowledge from advanced degree program to determine which scientific data and/or information to include in deliverables that align with pharmaceutical client’s objectives
- Interacts with agency and network colleagues on cross-functional projects and participates in meetings as assigned
- Demonstrates an understanding of project scope with allotted hours and raises concerns about potential out-of-scope requests
- Functions independently on assigned tasks and proactively utilizes resources (i.e., manager, teammates, online resources, shared agency documents, servers, etc.) to problem-solve
- Accurately records and promptly reports time worked according to policy
- Other administrative and ad hoc duties as assigned
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
- Advanced medical or scientific degree (MD, Ph.D., PharmD preferred)
- Medical writing experience in a healthcare marketing or communications agency internship, preceptorship, or equivalent, is a plus
- Strong writing and editorial skills
- Proven organization, time management, prioritization, and communication skills; adept at managing workload in an array of individual and team assignments, projects, or objectives congruously
- Must be a self-starter, practiced and skillful in working independently or as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Compensation for this role is contingent on work location. The annual salary for individuals reporting to our office in Lexington, KY, is $85,000. The annual salary for individuals reporting to our office(s) in New York, NY, is $95,000.
Dates are approximate and subject to change and will be discussed and confirmed upon selection. Fellows will report to 200 Madison Ave, New York, NY, 10016, or 4040 Finn Way, Lexington, KY, 40517, on a hybrid basis. Havas Health & You will not offer relocation or housing assistance or reimbursement.
