Since its inception in 2013, JFD, a French organization, has spearheaded initiatives uniting economic, public, and private sectors to empower women in STEM fields. The awards pay homage to Margaret Hamilton, the visionary scientist behind software pivotal to NASA’s Apollo space program, marking humanity’s lunar landing.

The Prestigious Les Margaret Awards
- Categories and Benefits: Entrepreneurs and Intrapreneurs stand to gain significant advantages, including media exposure worth €1 million, mentorship, digital resources, public speaking opportunities, and a year’s membership in the JFD network.
- Eligibility Criteria: Female founders or co-founders of tech startups qualify for the Entrepreneur category. Female employees who initiate projects aligned with their employers, while remaining employees, fit the Intrapreneur category. Projects must address societal issues and originate from European or African citizens.
Application and Selection Process
The deadline for applications is January 8, 2024. A panel of experts will pre-select finalists, with the final winners across various categories announced on February 8, 2024. The Margaret Awards ceremony is slated for April 17, 2024.
