The German Government, in collaboration with the West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use (WASCAL), offers fully funded scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year. These scholarships are designed for students from ECOWAS countries aiming to pursue Master’s degrees related to climate change and environmental sustainability.
Eligibility Criteria:

Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of one of the 15 ECOWAS countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, or Togo.

Academic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (second class upper division) or equivalent in a relevant field is required.

Language Proficiency: Candidates should have at least an intermediate level of proficiency in English.
