The University of Sheffield in the UK is offering the 2025 Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Masters Scholarships for international students from developing countries. These scholarships are available for specific courses affiliated with the Sheffield Institute for International Development.
Scholarship Benefits:

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Hold an offer for one of the specified courses starting in September 2025.
- Be classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
- Not already hold a qualification equivalent to or higher than the course applied for.
- Not have previously studied outside their country of residence.
- Be self-funded and not receiving external funding from other organizations.
- Intend to study full-time.
- Begin studies at the University of Sheffield in 2025 (deferrals are not permitted).
- Successfully meet any conditions attached to their offer by the specified deadline.
- Obtain a visa to study in the UK in September 2025.
- Be a national of, or permanently domiciled in, one of the low or lower-middle-income countries as classified by the World Bank in 2025.
Application Process:
- Apply for Admission: Submit an application to the University of Sheffield for one of the eligible courses.
- Receive an Offer: Once you have an offer, you can access the scholarship application form via your MUSE for offer holders login.
- Submit Scholarship Application: Complete and submit the scholarship application by 1 pm (UK time) on Monday, June 2, 2025.
All eligible applicants who apply before the deadline will be notified of the outcome by Friday, July 18, 2025.
