University of Pavia – CICOPS Scholarship for Developing Countries (2025)

The University of Pavia, in collaboration with EDiSU (Institute of the Right to University Studies), offers the CICOPS Scholarships to support short-term research collaborations for scholars from developing countries. The 2025 CICOPS Scholarship covers travel, accommodation, meals, insurance, and a weekly stipend for a stay of 4 to 12 weeks in Pavia, Italy.

Scholarship Details:

Award Coverage:

• Return economy-class flight ticket

• Free accommodation at a University College

• Meal card for university canteens

• Health and personal accident insurance

• Invitation letter for visa support

• €150 per week (gross) stipend

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the CICOPS Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of a developing country

• Have at least 2 years of teaching experience or professional activity in international organizations or institutions

• Be a junior or senior member of a university, major research center, or institution with an interest in development studies

• Not be currently enrolled in a doctoral or postgraduate course at an Italian university

• Secure an invitation letter from a professor or researcher at the University of Pavia before applying

Duration of Stay:

The research stay in Pavia must last between 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the agreement with the host professor.

Applicants must upload:

• Curriculum Vitae in European format with a list of publications

• Invitation Letter from a contact professor at the University of Pavia

Note: Applications without correctly named documents will not be considered.
