These scholarships provide annual awards ranging from $5,000 to $12,500, totaling up to $50,000 over four years, based on the student’s cumulative GPA at the time of admission.

Scholarship Details:

  • Annual Award and GPA Requirements:

    • $12,500 per year ($50,000 over 4 years) for a GPA of 4.0 or higher

    • $10,000 per year ($40,000 over 4 years) for a GPA of 3.5–3.99

    • $7,500 per year ($30,000 over 4 years) for a GPA of 3.25–3.49

    • $5,000 per year ($20,000 over 4 years) for a GPA of 3.00–3.24

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be international students holding a valid visa.

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Meet country-specific academic requirements.

  • Demonstrate English language proficiency with minimum scores of:

    • IELTS: 6.5

    • TOEFL iBT: 80

    • TOEFL CBT: 213

    • TOEFL PBT: 550

Renewal Criteria:

Scholarships are renewable for up to eight semesters for freshmen or six semesters for transfer students, or until the completion of a bachelor’s degree, whichever comes first. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must:​Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn.

  • Earn 24 credits per academic year (Fall/Winter semesters).

Application Process:

  1. Apply for Admission: Submit an application for undergraduate admission through the University of Michigan-Dearborn online application portal or the Common Application.

  2. Automatic Scholarship Consideration: All eligible international applicants are automatically considered for the scholarship based on their GPA at the time of admission; no separate scholarship application is required.

  3. Submit Required Documents:

    • Official high school transcripts.

    • Official English language proficiency test scores.
