MTN Scholarship for Undergraduates

The MTN Foundation offers annual scholarships to high-performing students in Nigerian public tertiary institutions, aiming to recognize and reward academic excellence. The scholarship provides financial assistance of ₦300,000 per academic year to each recipient, covering tuition, book allowances, and living expenses.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):

   • Institution: Open to 300-level students studying Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) courses in Nigerian public universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.
   • Academic Performance: University and college of education students must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5-point scale (Second Class Upper). Polytechnic students require a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Upper Credit) from their Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) program.

2. MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):

   • Institution: Open to 200 and 300-level blind students studying any course in Nigerian public tertiary institutions.
   • Academic Performance: Blind students in universities or colleges of education must have a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Those in polytechnics require a minimum CGPA of 2.0 from their OND program and must have secured admission into the HND program.

3. Top 10 UTME Scholarship:

   • Automatically awarded to the top 10 scoring candidates in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as announced by JAMB. These candidates receive the scholarship from their 100 level through to graduation, provided they maintain the required grades.
