The University of Queensland (UQ) is offering fully funded Graduate School Scholarships (UQGSS) for domestic and international students aiming to pursue research-focused postgraduate degrees, such as the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Master of Philosophy (MPhil), in 2025.
Scholarship Benefits:

Living Stipend: Recipients will receive a tax-free stipend of $36,400 per annum (2025 rate), indexed annually.

Tuition Fees: The scholarship fully covers tuition fees for the duration of the program.

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): For international students, the scholarship includes Single Overseas Student Health Cover.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for the UQGSS, applicants must:

Nomination: Be nominated by an enrolling school or institute at UQ.

Admission Requirements: Meet all conditions for admission to the higher degree by research program as assessed by the Graduate School.

Funding Restrictions: Not be receiving a living allowance award or scholarship providing a benefit greater than 75% of the RTP Scholarship living allowance rate to undertake the higher degree by research program.

During the application process, under the ‘Scholarship and Collaborative study’ section, select the option indicating your wish to be considered for a UQ scholarship to cover living allowance stipend and tuition fee expenses.
