FAO–HUNGARIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME:

The scholarship covers student-related expenses exclusively; family members are not supported under this program. The scholarship includes:

  1. Application and tuition fees throughout the study period with basic books and notes
  2. Dormitory accommodation
  3. Subsistence costs
  4. Health insurance

FAO–HUNGARIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME COURSES:

REQUIREMENTS FOR FAO–HUNGARIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME QUALIFICATION:

Candidates will be selected based on the following criteria:

  1. Citizenship and residency in eligible countries
  2. Outstanding academic achievements
  3. Proficiency in the English language (for courses taught in English)
  4. Motivation
  5. Good health
  6. Preferably under 30 years of age

INTERVIEW DATE, PROCESS, AND VENUE FOR FAO–HUNGARIAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME:

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

The FAO-Hungarian Government Scholarship selection process for scholarships commencing in September 2023 involves two phases:

Phase 1: FAO pre-screens candidates and submits applications to the Ministry of Agriculture of Hungary, which forwards them to the chosen University. Only complete dossiers will be considered, and files without names will not be processed.

Phase 2: Selected candidates may undergo a written or oral English examination as part of the admission procedure. Participating Universities conduct further selection and inform successful candidates. The student selection is solely the responsibility of the Universities, with no involvement from FAO. Selected students will be notified by the Ministry.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION:

  1. Completed application form
  2. Recent curriculum vitae
  3. Copy of high school/college diploma and transcript/report of study or copy of the diploma attachment
  4. Certificate of proficiency in English
  5. Copies of relevant passport pages showing expiration date and passport number
  6. Letter of recommendation
  7. Statement of motivation
  8. Health Certificate issued by a Medical Doctor
  9. Certificate of Good Conduct issued by local police authority

HOW TO APPLY:

All documents must be in English, and documents in any other language will not be accepted. Applicants are responsible for ensuring proper translation and certification. Each document should be saved with a name that clearly identifies its content.
