Aim and Benefits of Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships:
- Duration: 2 years with the possibility of a 1-year extension.
- Monthly stipend: Trieste (Italy): Euro 2,000, New Delhi (India): US$ 1,590, Cape Town (South Africa): ZAR 23,000.
- Travel: The fellowship includes provision for travel expenses from the participant’s home country to the ICGEB lab at the beginning of the fellowship and a return travel provision upon completion of the fellowship.
- Medical health insurance coverage is provided for the fellowship duration.
- Research costs are supported by the research group’s budget.
- Visa/permit of stay application and renewal costs are reimbursed.
- Support for participation in Meetings and Courses is generally provided by the Group Leader/PI.

Requirements for Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships Qualification:
- Applicants must be nationals of an ICGEB Member State and may not apply for fellowships in their country of origin, unless they have worked abroad for at least the last 3 years at the time of application.
- Degree requirements: Applicants should hold a recent PhD in Life Sciences or have at least 3 years of research experience.
- Preference is given to candidates below the age of 35.
Interview date, Process, and Venue for Arturo Falaschi Postdoctoral Fellowships:
Selection: All applications will be transmitted to the respective ICGEB Liaison Officer in the applicant’s country of nationality for endorsement, a fundamental requirement for Fellowship awarding. The ICGEB Fellowships Selection Committee evaluates complete and endorsed applications by the closing date. Criteria for selection include scientific project excellence, candidate CV qualities, and potential benefit for the home country. Candidates are notified of outcomes via email shortly after the application deadline.
Documents Required for Application: Applicants must upload the following documents (pdf files): (i) Full CV (ii) Academic records (PhD degree certificate, issued by the degree-granting University with official seal/signatures, accompanied by an official English translation). (iii) Written Statement from the ICGEB Group Leader (iv) Valid identification document (passport or identity card). Recommended passport validity should be at least 12 months. (v) English Certificate (TOEFL, Cambridge, or similar) – not required if education has been in English.
