The Nigeria Prize for Science, sponsored by Nigeria LNG Limited, is an annual award recognizing scientific excellence. It aims to encourage advancements in science and technology that address Nigeria’s key challenges.
2025 Theme:
“Innovations and Technologies for Reducing the Effects of Climate Change”
Eligibility:
- Open to scientists and innovators worldwide (both Nigerians and non-Nigerians).
- Advisory Board or Panel of Judges members (and their relatives) are ineligible during their service year and the following year.
- Nigeria LNG Limited staff and their families cannot participate during service and for five years post-service.
- Entries must be completed scientific works demonstrating outstanding merit and societal impact.
- Only one entry per individual or group.
- All required materials must be submitted within the deadline.
Award & Benefits:
- Winner(s) receive $100,000
- Recognition for groundbreaking scientific contributions
